Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee (LVSBHC) Charities welcomes applications for unrestricted grant funding covering projects and programs that will permanently improve the lives of Southern Nevadans in the areas of: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Education; Health and Wellness; Social Justice; Youth and Young Adults.
In honor of Super Bowl LVIII (58), the NFL Foundation along with Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Charities and its partners, will award at least 58 grants across two award categories. Extra Point Awards will grant (up to) $5,800 to enhance projects, programs, or initiatives with legacy impact to its participants. Touchdown Awards will grant (up to) $58,000 supporting projects and programs that will extend a permanent impact on its beneficiaries.
The overview below provides prospective applicants with information to determine whether to apply for funding from the LVSBHC Charities Game Day Grants Program. The information includes eligibility requirements; key dates; how to apply for funds; an overview of the priority funding areas; an overview of the evaluation process and criteria; and the Game Day Awardee responsibilities and expectations.

Information for Applicants
Only one proposal for the entire initiative will be accepted from each applicant/organization. Each applicant must decide if they are applying for an "Extra Point Award" (Up to $5,800) or a "Touchdown Award" (Up to $58,000).
The LVSBHC Charities grantmaking process is governed by policies and procedures approved by the LVSBHC Charities and the NFL Foundation. By submitting an application, your organization asserts that this overview has been reviewed in its entirety and that, if selected, the organization will abide by the conditions described below.
Applications will be screened for eligibility and referred to the LVSBHC Charities Funding Review Committee, who will score each proposal with a standard rubric. Each application and related reviewer scores will be discussed by the Committee, which will make a formal recommendation. Please note that there are many determining factors that may result in a funding recommendation including rubric scores, Committee deliberations, application quality, financial statements, program performance, etc. The LVSBHC Charities will review funding recommendations and provides the final approval of Game Day Grants.
The LVSBHC Charities anticipates receiving practical and thoughtful proposals that align with the current landscape of community needs and demonstrate a good fit with your organization's capacity for program/service delivery.
Applicant and Organization Eligibility
In order to successfully apply for funding from the Game Day Grant Program, your organization and program must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must provide a complete and correct application
- Must be a nonprofit organization with active 501(c)3 status
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Nevada
- Proposed project/program must benefit Southern Nevada residents
- Must show proof of existing funding for proposed projects/programs
- Must show proof of a non-discrimination policy regarding staff, employment, governing board and service delivery based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability or national origin
- Applicant and applicant’s organization must be fully authorized by its board and other applicable partners/collaborators to submit this application
- Touchdown Grant Applicants must also provide complete financial statements
- All awardees are subject to formal reporting requirements
